Gloucester City AFC are saddened to have received several complaints relating to racist language being used by a spectator at last Saturday’s home game against Walton & Hersham.
As a welcoming, inclusive, family football club we are dismayed that those in attendance were subjected to this, but we would like to express our gratitude to those who confronted the individual on the day.
We are carrying out an internal investigation to identify the perpetrator and we will be taking appropriate action to ensure that they don’t return.
We do not condone abusive language or hate speech of any kind and we have a zero tolerance policy where this concerned.
The matches on the field were quite fierce and both Block Blast teams completed the assigned tasks excellently.
