Bracknell Town are perched in the middle of a congested table in the Southern Premier Division sitting nine points off the playoffs and six clear of the relegation zone as they aim for a return of fortunes that saw them reach the playoffs for the second consecutive season in 2023/24.
Only the top six have lost fewer games than the Robins in the league this season having lost just seven of their 27 matches in the league, but their inability to convert draws into wins has hampered their prospects this year in addition to a more worrying winless run of six matches in a row.
12 goals conceded in their last four matches including four in their most recent home defeat to Hungerford Town who were in the relegation zone prior to kick off has seen the hosts looking over their shoulders in the league despite sitting in 10th place.
Over a five game period only Sholing have conceded more goals and have accured less points than Bracknell's two which will be some cause for concern for manager Jon Underwood who took charge of the club in September after Jordan Ive stepped down.
Since beating Gloucester City at the TigerTurf Stadium in the middle of November, the only defeat on City's home patch this season they've won just the twice in a run of twelve grames, as they've struggled to showcase the consistency that saw them finish on 68 points before losing to AFC Totton in the playoff semi finals last season.
Only Dorchester with 14 have drawn more games than the Robins 13 in the league, while the home side have drawn the most games in their home ground with seven, which is two more than any other side in the divison.
The Berkshire based side have won two of their last five home games in the league both by a scoreline of 4-1 after dispatching Frome Town and Hanwell Town in between the most recent drubbing by Hungerford and a 4-1 scoreline on the other end after they were thrahsed by Sholing FC.
After postponements owing to recent weather conditons Bracknell had a period before their most recent match at the Bottom Meadow of four consecutive away games in that winless run against Poole Town, Gosport Borough, Plymouth Parkway and Dorchester Town.
The hosts are the second lowest scoring side in the top half of the table having scored 38 goals in 26 matches so far, despite scoring 15 in their last nine matches.
They do not have a clear talisman who is supplying them with a lot of goals with their top scorer being Australian midfielder Joel Rollinson who has scored five in the league with a further 10 players having scored more than one goal in the league so far.
In the reverse fixture which saw Bracknell defeat the Tigers, Max Herbert and Seb Bowerman were the scorers on that occasion and they both have netted twice so far this season when they succumbed City to their second league defeat of the season.
Despite a poor run of form from the Robins heading into the matchup under the lights at the Bottom Meadow on Tuesday night, their victory in November shows the quality that Bracknell can possess at their disposal and having got into the playoffs last season they will not be easy opponents to overcome.
While their poor run of form has seen the relegation dotted line close in they will be aiming to kickstart their season and push to finish in the top five and not let their season peter out into mid table obscurity come the end of April.
