City take on Peterborough Sports on Tuesday night, looking to return to winning ways after Saturdays defeat at Chippenham in the FA Trophy
The cup loss saw a run of three wins in the spin come to an end for City, but attention now turns solely to the National League North campaign as we look to close the gap on safety.
In our way will be Peterborough Sports, who come into the game after a win over Dagenham & Redbridge in the FA Trophy.
The Turbines will be buoyed by that win, having overcome their opponents on penalties, but they will also be looking to make it four wins on the bounce so will be a threat.
They currently sit three points clear of relegation, with 25 points to their name, and dual managers Luke Steele and Michael Gash will be looking to increase the gap when they hear to TigerTurf Stadium.
Player to watch: Michael Gash
Should he play, City will have to cope with the threat posed by Peterborough’s player-manager.
Gash has had a colourful career, playing plenty of clubs, and scoring goals for each of them.
He started off in Cambridge, playing for both sides there, moving to York in 2009, even claiming a call up to England C in 2010.
He then played in the National league consistently until 2015 where he moved to Barnet in the Football League where he stayed until moving to Kings Lynn where he made over 100 appearances scoring over 40 goals.
Since then he has been at Peterborough Sports where he is now manager too.
Last meeting: PS 1-2 City
Last time out City claimed a win on the road as they came from behind to be victorious.
On a cold Tuesday night City travelled to Peterborough looking to make it four games unbeaten in the league.
Johnson Gyamfi gave the hosts the lead with 20 minutes on the clock, before Kieran Phillips scored just before the break to send us in level.
The striker then secured victory for City just after the break, as we moved on up the table.
