By Lawrence Stanley

Gloucester City are back in National League North action when they head to Lancashire to play Chorley on Saturday (KO: 15:00).

City are looking for a third win in a row, after booking their spot in the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup by dispatching Hungerford Town 3-1 last Saturday.

There have been 25 goals in the last six meetings between the sides, including a 9-0 win for the hosts last season, so expect an action-packed game at Victory Park - read on to find out the key information about the tie.

Last time out:

City took one step closer to reaching the dream of the First Round Proper of the Emirates FA Cup as they ran out 3-1 winners against Hungerford Town at Bulpit Lane last Saturday.

The two teams traded goals going into the break but after a missed penalty from Ben Allen for the hosts, it was the Tigers who took control thanks to goals from Tre Mitford and Kieran Phillips late on.

City are 10th in the National League North, two points off Kidderminster Harriers in the final play-off position and a win could lift them up into fifth place, depending on other results.

Chorley turned on the style in midweek as they thrashed Liversedge 9-0 in their FA Cup Second Qualifying Round replay.

After a 1-1 draw at Clayborn Stadium, the return fixture saw a finishing masterclass from the Magpies which included a hattrick from Jonathan Ustabasi.

The opposition:

Chorley reached the play-offs in the League after finishing sixth last season, losing out to eventual winners York City in the quarter-final however.

When it comes to this year, they have started steadily, finding themselves in 15th place, two points off their opponents, with two wins and four draws from their opening eight games.

The hosts proved their goalscoring ability in midweek, with one-time Premier League player Ollie Shenton getting in on the act, while Connor Hall is their joint top scorer in the League so far this season with four goals.

As well as his hattrick on Tuesday, Ustabasi has also notched four in the National League North for Andy Preece’s side.
