City take on high flying Spennymoor Town in the National League North on Saturday afternoon.
The return to league action comes after City’s 3-0 win over in the FA Trophy last weekend, with Tuesday nights game against Peterborough Sports being postponed.
City will be feeling upbeat ahead of the clash against the side sitting fourth, but know it will be an extremely tough challenge.
The Moors are the divisions entertainers having had a division high 58 goals scored in their 19 games so far.
They also boast the fifth top scorer in the league in Will Harris, who has scored nine times in the league to date.
However, a recent thrashing at home by South Shields and a shock loss in the FA Trophy to Mickleover, have been part of a rut that has seen the side from Durham win only two of their last nine fixtures.
Player to Watch:
The previously mentioned Williams Davies has caused plenty of issues for defences in the National League North this season.
The 23 year old has been in fine form, scoring nearly a third of his sides goals so far, assisting once as well.
Harris started his career at Burnley, before joining Sunderland, after loan spells at Colbert and Warrington.
He joined Spennymoor ahead of this season, from fifth tier Gateshead.
Last meeting: City 2-0 Spennymoor
City scored a goal either side of half time in a comfortable 2-0 win last time out against The Moors.
At the end of a quiet first half, City got the opener through an Owen Evans goal.
The ball fell to him 30 yards out, and obliging to the crowd he fired a shot that crashed into the back of the net.
City sealed the win in the second half when a counter attack found Kieran Phillips and he calmly slotted home.
Circumstances may be different this time, but let’s hope for more of the same on Saturday!
